I would personally like to extend an invitation to you to attend the Utah Engineers Council Awards Banquet on February 12, 2010, at the Clark Planetarium at the Gateway in downtown Salt Lake.  This year we are making a courageous step outside the box and offering a fun mix-and-mingle event:

Fabulous food in various locations throughout the planetarium.  Experience planetarium exhibits while you eat, drink, and mingle.

• Scholarship and MESA Teacher of the Year awards.
• Fresh Face of Engineering Award.

• Experience what it is like to be in space as presented by our guest speaker, Kent Rominger, ATK Vice President of Space Systems Group Test and Research Operations and former NASA Astronaut, on the IMAX screen with a question and answer session.

And just so you know, the UEC Awards program is a break-even event.  Ticket prices reflect the costs to hold our yearly program.  We realize that the ticket price has gone up this year, but so has the quality of food and the experience.
